We came here late on a Saturday in search of NACHOS. Big, greasy, sexy nachos to stuff into our bellies. Mel personally delivered some mouthwatering, flavorsome short rib nachos covered in beans and cheeeeese and jalapeños and sour cream and salsa and guacamole OH! We thanked Mel and then took him into the bathroom and thanked him some more. He gave us his sour cream and I braised his short ribs. I recommend this establishment.

Grabbing breakfast before hitting the Walk of Fame? This the place for you! The vegan breakfast burrito is as filling and insanely flavorful. Honestly came to this restaurant cause I was like: they made a replica in Universal Studios so it's gotta be iconic. It felt iconic like almost lost in time and not in a bad way. Service was ok, our server was younger and she was fine but kind of awakened which I'm not gonna read anyone for. But for value, food snd a cozy atmosphere I would say go here!

I've always heard of this establishment and finally made it a point to give it a go. When I arrived, I was surprised at how many times I've been steps away from it, yet never noticed lol. Anyway, I was excited to experience what all the hype was about. Upon entering, we were greeted with an old school diner interior. I loved the cute seats, tables with jukeboxes and the 50's era decor. It is also very roomy with plenty of seating and a large bar area in the back. I was expecting a wait since it was a Saturday night, but we were promptly seated as there was none. The waiter collected our drink order and brought out our waters quickly. We both ordered "The Famous MelBurger" which came with fries. Our order was ready and delivered to our table in under 7min. The Melburger: Classic, everyday burger. It was a standard burger size with the traditional fixings(lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mayo etc). The bun was delicious! Very soft, toasted and buttered. The patty was fresh, juicy and the fixings were fresh as well(crispy lettuce, ripe tomato, nicely grilled onion). It was basically everything a burger is supposed to be. Fries: Very good! They were golden crispy, tasted fresh and seasoned nicely. The price for the burger and fries was around $20 with tax. A little on the pricey side, but to be expected when you're dining on the corner of Hollywood/Highland, which is one of the busiest tourist spots in the world. Overall, I enjoyed my meal entirely and would definitely eat here when I'm in the area. It's one of those establishments where you can't go wrong!

We ended up going up at Mel's Diner after driving by In and Out burger. Which was completely full to capacity & the Drive Thru line was literally around 1 block radius. Hubby said No Way, what's plan B. I said Mel's Diner. We arrived at Mel's Diner. They don't own the parking lot. It's $2.50 for the 1st hour and then $2.50 for every 15 minutes after that. We vowed to be finished in one hour. We walked in and waited to be seated. The hostess attempted to seat us in a far off corner of the restaurant when plenty of good seats were open. I said No and requested to pick my own table. I sat where we had a good view of everything. Our server is Antoinette! Very talkative in a good way. Attentive, Friendly and Helpful. Her recommendations were spot on. Mel's Diner is pricey but it was worth the quality food that we ate. Hubby had Mel's Southern Fried Chicken. 3 pcs crispy chicken served with Fries, Coleslaw & and Honey Roll. He eat it all. I ordered the Short Rib Grilled Cheese with vegetable melody of broccoli, zucchini and squash. Antoinette's recommendation. All the food was on point. Bill was $61. We played songs from the table jukebox box. 0.25 per play. We are and truly enjoyed ourselves. With that 50's feel. Great choice of our time. Hopefully, we can visit again during this vacation.
